Knoxville, Tn- – -The iconic Krystal has a brand new home in Knoxville.  The new restaurant located at 1718 Cumberland Avenue in Knoxville will employ 30 team members from the local area who are excited to welcome first time guests as well as long time Krystal Lovers to the store.  Krystal’s drive thru will be open for business 24 hours each day.

“We are proud to open this new store in Knoxville,” said Doug Pendergast, President and CEO of Krystal.  “We’ve been asked for a store at this location for a long time and we’re pleased to fill Knoxville’s Krystal cravings.”

To celebrate the opening, Krystal will host a grand opening celebration beginning with a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. on May 3.  Krystal will donate ten percent of their proceeds for the day to the Pat Summitt Foundation.  Dedicated to winning the fight against Alzheimer’s disease, the grant-making foundation has a mission to advance research for prevention and a cure; to provide support for patients, caregivers and families; and to educate the public about the disease and the urgent need for a cure. The grand opening will include a drawing where two lucky guests will win an item autographed by the legendary Coach Summitt.

“We look forward to meeting new friends as well as long time Krystal Lovers,” said Pendergast.  “We hope everyone will come out and support the Pat Summitt Foundation and enjoy a great Southern experience, the Krystal hamburger.”
