New Krystal located at 10531 Culebra Rd. to feature company’s new expanded menu
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Krystal Company today announced that it will open a new, company-owned Krystal restaurant in San Antonio on Monday, Oct. 20 at 6:00 a.m. The restaurant, located at 10531 Culebra Rd., joins the two existing Krystal locations in San Antonio and will feature the fast food icon’s complete line-up of signature menu items along with exciting new menu choices, advanced drive-thru ordering technology, credit card and debit payment options, free Wi-Fi Internet access and a sleek, stylish dining area.
“We’re excited to continue our expansion in San Antonio with the opening of our third Krystal restaurant,” said Fred Exum, chief executive officer, The Krystal Company. “Like our two other San Antonio locations, the new restaurant will serve-up all of our exciting, new product offerings that you can’t get anywhere else in Texas. Our San Antonio guests can expect great hospitality and an extraordinary value—not just in price but also in quality.”
In celebration of Krystal’s expansion in San Antonio, the company has been hosting a series of free menu tasting events, giving local residents a chance to taste for free many of the new menu items now available at all three San Antonio Krystal locations. The free menu tasting at the Culebra Rd. location will be held on Nov. 1 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Among the new menu offerings guests can enjoy at the new Krystal restaurant include:
• Hot ‘N Country Wings® – chicken wings covered in a deliciously crispy and spicy breading.
• Krystal Smoothies® – a line-up of all-natural, all-fruit smoothie beverages.
• Mac ‘N Cheese Wedges® – small, tasty wedges of fried mac ‘n cheese bites.
• RockSlides® – a line of ice cream-based beverages that include mix-ins such as M&Ms, Butterfinger and Snickers.
• Krystal Toaster Sandwiches® – a variety of Krystal-sized sandwiches served on toasted bread including Philly Cheesesteak, Turkey Club, Grilled Cheese, BLT and Grilled Bacon and Cheese.
Guests dining in at the new restaurant on Culebra Rd. will enjoy a refreshing, efficient design that pays tribute to the traditional Krystal look while showcasing the company’s modern, new image. The interior spaces are bright and shiny, harking back to Krystal’s heritage with white tile, chrome, shiny stainless steel, and very clean, contemporary appearances. The dining area offers both traditional tables and chairs as well as several high-top tables with stools positioned along the windows overlooking the drive-in.
Like all company-owned Krystal locations, the location will accept payment by credit and debit card and will be an official “Krystal HotSpot,” offering free Wi-Fi Internet access to guests in the restaurant.
Krystal’s expansion in San Antonio is the company’s latest move to grow its business through the development of company-owned stores, both in heritage markets and in new markets across the South. Krystal is scheduled to open a total of 20 new company-owned restaurants by 2009, adding more than 800 jobs in local markets in at least 11 states.
On Oct. 18 Krystal restaurants located at 6446 NW Loop 410 and 7953 Pat Booker Road will host free menu tasting between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
