Krystal Turns To Social Web To Find Newest Inductees; Each Will Be Honored With Induction Ceremony and Be Featured On Very Own Krystal Hamburger Box

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Krystal Company today announced the newest members of its Krystal Lovers Hall of Fame, including several who were selected from stories posted on Krystal’s Facebook fan page. The 10 new inductees, representing six states across the U.S., represent the company’s most loyal and diehard guests who have helped make Krystal a Southern cultural icon.

“We receive thousands of emails every year from guests who want to share their Krystal stories with us, and many have now turned to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter as ways of passing along their personal tales of Krystal love,” said Brad Wahl, vice president of marketing, The Krystal Company. “Hardly a day goes by without one of our guests posting a great story on our Facebook wall, and our newest inductees represent some of the best we’ve seen this year.”

Now in its fifth year, the Krystal Lovers Hall of Fame has honored 75 individuals and groups for their one-of-a-kind Krystal stories. And the 10 individuals who make up the Class of 2009 are no exception.

The Class of 2009 Krystal Lovers Hall of Fame Inductees include:

1. Charlie Capps of Columbus, Ga.
2. Adam Suslak of Jacksonville, Fla.
3. Sidney Raper of Kilmichael, Miss.
4. Tracy Hale of Jackson, Tenn.
5. Terry Rogers of Franklin, Tenn.
6. Angela Sims of Houston, Texas
7. John Wilson of Louisville, Tenn.
8. Bob Balch of St. Augustine, Fla.
9. Tracie Tolentino of Snellville, Ga.
10. Kris Underwood of Huntington, Ind.

Throughout the month of December, Krystal will host induction ceremonies at each inductee’s local Krystal restaurant, and each inductee’s story will be featured on Krystal’s official blog, Krystalist.com, as they join the ranks of the Krystal Lovers Hall of Fame.

As new Hall of Fame members, each of the inductees will be featured on his or her very own Krystal Hamburger or Cheese Krystal box, which will be first unveiled at each guests’ exclusive ceremony before being used in the 385 Krystal restaurants across the South in early 2010.

Each box will include an illustration of the Hall of Famer, a quote that describes his or her passion for Krystal as well as personal facts such as the inductee’s hometown and favorite Krystal meal. Each inductee will also be recognized with an official plaque that will hang in the restaurant.

The first induction ceremony is for Charlie Capps of Columbus, Ga. and takes place at 1 p.m. on Dec. 10 at the Krystal located at 3029 Manchester Hwy. In attendance will be Capps along with friends and family and representatives from Krystal.
